Md. Mofijul Islam has been actively engaged in the field of autism since 2002. Over the years, he has led multiple developmental initiatives, including four projects supported by international donor agencies between 2007 and 2022. His work reflects a sustained commitment to advancing autism-related education, advocacy, and community-based support systems.
He has participated in a wide range of international training programs, workshops, and conferences aimed at enhancing expertise in disability inclusion, project management, and special education. His international engagements include:

Participation in the 2nd European Autism Congress 2020 held in Budapest, Hungary, where he delivered a session titled Autism Rickshaw Lecture: The Challenges of Autism, Development Cooperation, and Future Visions.

Completion of the Disability Inclusive Development Train-the-Trainers Intensive Workshop in 2019, conducted in Seoul, South Korea, under the auspices of the Korean Disabled People’s Development Institute (KODDI) and Harvard Law School Project on Disability.
