Mr. Naquib Khan, Chairman (Voluntary Service) and Founder Parent Member of the Moonflower Autism Foundation, is a proud father of a 29-year-old son with Autism. He has been passionately involved in social work within the field of Autism for over 25 years.
Mr. Khan served as a Founder Parent Member and Executive Member of the Society for the Welfare of Autistic Children (SWAC) from 2006 to 2022 and played a significant role as Vice Chairman. He was instrumental in raising social awareness across Bangladesh and motivating parents, teachers, and the broader community to adopt a positive attitude towards building an inclusive society.
His efforts focused on ensuring that individuals with disabilities, particularly those with Autism, could access their rights and be integrated into society, just like all other human beings. Mr. Khan has contributed significantly to the rehabilitation of individuals with Autism through various means, including concerts, seminars, symposiums, conferences, TV shows, and interviews in print and electronic media.
With over 38 years of experience in leadership roles in multinational companies (MNCs) and audit and consultancy firms in Bangladesh, Mr. Khan has held top positions in Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Corporate Affairs & Communications. He graduated with honors in Accountancy from Chittagong University and began his career in 1983 with KPMG Rahman Rahman Huq, Chartered Accountants. In 1988, he joined PHILIPS Bangladesh (a subsidiary of Philips, Netherlands) as Finance Controller for the Consumer Electronics division. In 1992, he transitioned to BOC Bangladesh (now Linde Bangladesh) in a finance role, and after three years, he moved to Nestle Bangladesh (a subsidiary of Nestle S.A., Switzerland). Mr. Khan spent more than 26 years with Nestlé Bangladesh, where he held several key positions, including Financial Controller, Supply Chain Director, and Corporate Affairs & Communications Director. He retired in 2022 and subsequently founded a management consultancy firm named NAMMCON. He also serves as the Country Head & Ambassador for the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) College Bangladesh.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Khan is a highly respected and beloved music composer, singer, lyricist, and keyboardist. He has been passionately involved with music for over five decades. His musical journey began in 1972 when he made his first public appearance with his elder brother’s band, BALARK. Following the disbandment of BALARK, he joined the legendary band SOULS in 1974, where he began composing original songs. He played a crucial role in elevating SOULS to new heights of popularity before relocating to Dhaka in 1983. In 1985, he founded the band RENAISSANCE, which quickly became a dominant force in the music scene. RENAISSANCE earned immense respect for its lyrical values and melodies, releasing four audio albums, most of which featured compositions by Mr. Khan. With over 500 compositions to his credit, Mr. Khan is regarded as one of the most influential music composers in the country. He has also released two solo albums and led a band that has endured through generations, maintaining its position as one of the best-loved musical acts in Bangladesh.
